the organizers of Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka, before this, they crowned Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2012 to Vinu Udani Siriwardena, but after realization of their mistake, they improve their decision and announced the right contestant Sumudu Prasadini as Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2012 along with Vinu Siriwardana, as two winners of Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka 2012.

Vinu Siriwardena was crowned  Miss Sri Lanka 2012 organized by Derana TV.  She will be the contestant who will be sent by Sri Lanka for Miss World 2012 competition. She is a 19 year old school leaver from Dehiwala.
